Roger's Keys to
Success:
When
you ask Roger what helped him with his success in basketball he will
tell you it all starts in the classroom. Roger was an ACC honor roll
student at the University of Virginia before declaring for the draft in
2002. He credits listening to parents and role models.
After being
drafted number 31 by the Chicago Bulls, Roger re
injured his
shoulder which required surgery and had to sit out the entire
year. It took eight months to recover. During that time Roger didn't
focus on the injury or bad luck, but how he would continue to
improve his game. He was traded to the Toronto Raptors and shortly
after found himself doing a brief stint in Europe. With more playing
time allowed in Europe, Roger found the time to hone his
skills
and that he did.
Humble beginnings paid off,
Roger played with the Wizards and showed his skills in 2007, this year
his game
has moved to San Antonio where Roger continues to show his 3 point
accuracy.
Since being with the Spurs he has
been a
major key in their success.
Back home for camp again, come
meet Roger and the staff for another year of camp fun.
